Installation Notes & Product Engineering Information

Installation instructions are mailed to you upon receipt of your purchase order from The Home Depot.  This allows you time to become familiar with the installation methods.

Standard plan engineering sheets are mailed to you upon receipt of your purchase order from The Home Depot.  This allows you time to obtain a building permit if one is desired.

A tool requirement list is included with installation instructions.

All Apollo™ patio cover kits are shipped via common carrier truck line directly to your home due to the size and number of boxes.  Orders are shipped within 15 days after receipt of your purchase order from The Home Depot.  Orders are shipped with pre-paid freight charges by the manufactures.  A 24 hour notice prior to delivery to your home is available upon p.o request.

All Apollo™ patio cover kits have been engineered to meet local building codes.

Apollo™ patio cover kits are available in 10 psf , 20 psf  and 30 psf live load designs.  Check with your local building department for design load requirements for your area.

10 psf  live load - non snow areas

20 psf  live load - moderate snow areas; high wind areas

30 psf  live load - heavy snow areas; high wind areas

Apollo™ patio cover kits are designed for post attachment directly to a 3-1/2" thick concrete slab.  The Building Codes allow for attachment to a concrete slab on grade without footings, provided that posts do now support live and dead loads in excess of 750 lbs. per post.
